Terms
The rules of using Billomatic. Short, because most of what a terms page covers has not been decided yet — and inventing it here would decide it.
Draft — not yet in force
Structure only. Every value shown as a dashed blank has to be supplied by the operator, and the whole document reviewed by someone qualified, before this page is published. Nothing here is legal advice and nothing here is binding yet.
Who these apply to
Between To be supplied: operator legal name and anyone using Billomatic. Access today is by invitation only: there is no public sign-up and an account exists because it was created for a named person.
The service
Billomatic imports bank transactions into a single ledger, keeps the ones an account holder does not share private, splits shared ones by shares a group has agreed, and reports on the result. It is under active development. Features may change, and availability is not guaranteed.
It is a bookkeeping tool and nothing more. It does not move money, hold funds, settle balances between people, or provide financial, tax or legal advice. Squaring up happens between the people involved.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; anything done through your account counts as done by you.
- Only add another person as a participant if you may record their name in connection with shared costs. Adding someone does not give them access — participants without a linked account cannot sign in and see nothing.
- Only import data you are entitled to import.
Your data
What you put in is yours. It is used to operate the service for you and for nothing else — see Privacy. Imported transactions are not hard-deleted while an account exists, because the ledger is auditable history; what happens on account closure is stated there.
Accuracy
Splits are computed with a fixed remainder rule and always sum exactly to the amount being split. That is a guarantee about the arithmetic, not about the input: an imported figure is only as good as the export it came from, and it is worth checking anything you are going to act on.
Price
Nothing is charged today. Billomatic is intended to become a paid product on a tiered subscription, and the tiers, prices and terms are not decided. When they are, they will be stated here before they apply to anyone.
Liability
To be supplied: limitation of liability — needs a lawyer, and consumer law limits what may be excluded
Changes and ending
To be supplied: how changes are notified, notice period, how either side ends the agreement
Governing law
To be supplied: governing law and jurisdiction — note that mandatory consumer protections apply regardless
Before publishing this page
- Fill every dashed blank.
- Revisit the Price section the moment a tier or a figure is decided.
- Have it reviewed; consumer contract terms in Austria are not a template exercise.
- Remove the draft notice at the top of this page.
